Information about our language courses at a glance

Placement test
Online placements are available here or directly from your course.

What is the significance of the abbreviations A1 to C2?
These are the names for the levels according to the European Language Portfolio. A1 is the lowest level, C2 is the highest. You can find more details about this here.

Group size and course duration
Our regular groups have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 12 participants.
For courses with 5 to 7 participants, each session lasts 75 minutes.
For courses with 8 to 12 participants, each session lasts 90 minutes.
We are able to initiate a course when we have 3 or 4 participants. Each session lasts 60 minutes during the first two weeks of the course. If no more participants join, we will put together a quote offer for a very small group. If you accept this, your learning group will not take any more participants, and it will meet for 12 sessions of 60 minutes each.

Company courses
For companies, we are happy to carry out language courses that are precisely tailored to the company's internal requirements – from specialist jargon to business language to small talk. Group size, course times and place can be determined on an individual basis. Your point of contact: nicolas.fuezesi@unibas.ch
